What does it test for?
Who should get tested?
Anyone who is sexually active.
Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are the two most common STIs. Both infections can be symptomless and the only way to detect them is with a test. If you’re sexually active or have been in the past, it’s important to keep your sexual health in check. Early detection is crucial in reducing any long term consequences that may have a considerably damaging effect on your health.
Long term consequences can include pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, chronic pelvic pain, infertility in women; and epididymitis, which causes infertility in men by inflaming the reproductive tubes.
